About Yakima Pride

Yakima Pride is a dynamic force dedicated to driving positive change for the LGBTQ+ community throughout the Yakima Valley and Central Washington. We are advocates, educators, celebrants, and community builders committed to creating a future where every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and equality.

Our Vision for the Valley

Our vision is of a Yakima Valley where equality reigns and barriers are shattered. We work towards a community where no one faces discrimination based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. We envision a place where the vibrant tapestry of LGBTQ+ experiences is woven into the fabric of our society, celebrated and amplified, and where art and culture ignite change, fostering empathy and understanding.

• Advocacy & Empowerment: We work tirelessly to dismantle systemic hurdles and advocate for equal rights in education, employment, and healthcare. We are committed to the liberation and empowerment of all LGBTQ+ individuals, providing resources and support for personal growth.

• Wellbeing & Connection: Recognizing the unique challenges faced by our community, we prioritize holistic wellbeing by creating safe spaces for healing, support, and connection. We believe in the restorative power of nature and seek to integrate its healing influence into our programs.
